Stealing a Proud Signature

Why they say, "The College Life is the Best Life"?  

Well, I think...
1. Almost no real (I mean "real") responsibilities.##
2. Almost no one breathing behind your neck.
3. You are encouraged to create fights within yourself for any and many reason, professionally we term that as "self-empowerment".
4. Life's KARMA cycle is in extremely busy state, and you think little differently all the time ;-).
5. You always make fun of teachers and they know about that very well cause they did the same thing in their days. (Someone whispered, "Abe tu teacher-student-prem-katha bata dega kya, chup sh..le").

[## For some though... who are from humble backs, it's always about future responsibilities, fear of failures, worryness of ifs and thens.]

Oh! enough is enough, no more Faltoo Fundas. Coming back to originally what I wanted to write. One of my senior, name SD (Cryptography-fied) who was exceptionally brilliant, truly was. While some of us used to score C's and D's, there, SD used to score S's, in fact I heard SD was once wept like hell because of getting a B in one of the 200 level courses. Sometime we used to complain, "Relative grading system ki... " (fill in please). Just because of one or two person in the class, the whole class is under 3 feet water at 2am in the morning.

One day in our campus bank, I was standing behind SD to withdraw some money. I peeked over SD's shoulder (a.k.a. breathing behind the neck, a.k.a. head and torso job) to find how much MONEY, SD was withdrawing (Jab atma jale, toh laagta hai, har ek cheej pe najar-rakhk-lun). Well, when I saw SD signing on the withdrawal form, I was surprised to see SD's proud full signature, it ended with outline of an inverted smiley face.

Something I stole from SD for the life time. GRADE nehin to singnature hi sehi, aur acchi bat yea hai, gussa bhi gaya tel lene :-).

 তখন High School এ পড়ি ! প্রায় প্রতি বছর দিদির বাড়ি মদন্ডি যেতাম ষাট-পুজোর আকুরি নিয়ে। মদন্ডি গ্রাম টা ছিল দামোদর নদীর তীরে ঠিক একটা অদ্ভুত সুন্দর জায়গায়। কিলোমিটার খানেক এর মধ্যেই /Neheru Park/ , তার পাশেই বিশাল Pump House, একটু দূরেই ISP Airport. বেড়াতে গিয়ে কখন যে সময় কিভাবে কেটে যেত তার টের পেতাম না। তার ওপরে নদীর মাছ, নদীতে স্নান, নৌকা বাওয়া সব যেন গল্পের মতো মনে হতো. কয়েকজন মিলে সাঁতরে যেতাম নৌকো বাইব বলে। গুন্ টেনে নিয়ে যেতাম ৩/৪ শ মিটার, তারপর সবাইমিলে নৌকায় চড়ে বসতাম। গুন্ টেনে নিয়ে যাওয়ার সময় পুরো ব্যাপার টা শারীরিক ভাবে একটু কষ্ট-দায়ক হলেও নৌকা টা control এ থাকতো বেশ। আবার উল্টো দিকে চড়ে আনন্দ পেতাম ঠিক ই, অনেক তা roller-coaster এর মতো, কিন্তূ কোনো ভাবেই পুরোপুরি control থাকতো না নৌকা টা। মাঝি বলতো, "জোরে চললে বেশি বাইবে না, শুধু দিক ঠিক করে চালিও"। একবার উজান এ চললে কে কার কথা শোনে। নৌকা গিয়ে উঠতো আরো ৩/৪ শ মিটার পার হয়ে। Over and Above All - Flexibility is the Key to Control the Boat. #WorldSparrowDay

Today, 20th March, the #WorldSparrowDay. From my childhood days they are one of my favorite BIRDS. In our village, we used to find them everywhere,  especially in the bamboo jungles, ...and the chirping of the sparrows in the mornings and evenings (closing my eyes, I can hear).  Unfortunately in the cities they are hard to find, because - 1. Low percentage of tree covers, and concrete jungle. 2. Difficult to find a natural drinking water source, specially in the summer time. As summer becoming hotter and hotter year by year, their population is decreasing with time. In fact this is true for any kind of BIRDS.  This summer if you can, put a bow of fresh water in your balcony /patio/terrace/backyard  for them to drink.  Who knows, you might find two POSE-ing for a cute photograph too ;-).
