Breaking Coco-nuts

Image
Let's talk about some organic coconut products. Coconut trees are amazing gift of God. The thought came up after reading this science paper - 1. /http://www.ijltet.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/42.pdf/   2. A coconut coir mat: 3. A "firm" mattress made of coconut threads. Ask a doctor in-suppose it helps in back pain. 4. Coconut coir as potting mix: 5. How about playing cricket on Coco-mat? (Before, do some /batting practice at home/ )  6. And health benefits of coconut oil, /khud-hee-dekh-lo/ :-). You can also use coconut oil for cooking, and many other purposes... 7. Now what can't be covered by the coconut coir, can be covered by   /Jute/   and /Cotton/ . #patliGaliForPlastics ?!?

Chik er Ball (Ball made using Plastic Bags)

Image
They say, when you touch a cord, it makes a sound. They say, when you drop a ball, it bounces. But not every type of ball. Make a ball with bacha-kucha plastic bags like the one below, you try to bounce it even on the hardest surface, it will not bounce. Let say, you made such a ball of size, like No. 3 football (soccer ball). And you are playing during monsoon season, soaked in mud and water, 5kg weight and you are playing barefoot.  This is the story of my cowboy friend Kangla, short height, would hardly talk to anyone unless its really a needie needy one. Kangla was 11/12 years of age then. We used to hire him to play for our paDa team. Those days One-Day-Tournaments (now too) were very popular in rural parts of Bengal. There would be 16 teams from different villages complete in knockout play, 10min + 10min and final would be 15min + 15min.  It is more like a picnic day out and fun. Now imagine, during prize distribution 15 loosing team vs 1 winner ;-) #hudda

What's your aim?

2013 Summer: We went for few days to visit Fort Bragg, California and surroundings. One day we went to /Drive-Thru-Tree-Park/ . While returning, instead driving back though the same route, we decided to --> Willits --> Fort Bragg. We were hungry, so went for this street side  /Pizza-To-Go/  restaurant. The Restaurant run by few witty-ladies ;-), ordered a thin crust Pizza. With happy-belly, before driving back I went to the rest-room to rest :-), was about to.... and then immediately noticed something - Our aim is to keep it clean for you, So kindly aim it. #tillTheLastDrop      /downToTheStreetMarkings/      #360DegreeEnforcement My aim today is to listen to few like this one:

Burnpur to Bombay to Bangalore - By Bus

Burnpur: Asansol Railway Station to Burnpur Market is a very busy route. You will find lot of mini-buses (1/2 the length and 4/5th the width of say, Airavat Class), easy to maneuver, less traffic jam. They are running in 2 mins intervals and even during the day if rider-ship in less, i.e. running little empty, less fuel consumption hurts less to the happy owners. Recently there is a new bus introduced, which is environment friendly, low height and easy to get on get off, did not find any dedicated "disabled-leveled-seat", basically its left up to the rider's inner-choice to yield if needed.  One interesting thing is though is, almost all the buses are running late by 2 mins, i.e. until the Driver and Khalasi see the next bus 30 mtrs behind them, they would not move from the stop... and continues (Do paisa aur de de Baba, khujli ke malham kharid ne ke liya, bahut garmi hai), honk, honk, honk! Arre Jah Jah, Bayen thik! Bombay: In 199 9 5, I went to Bombay

Boys were present there

Our seven year old had a field trip yesterday to a Construction Zone. While on the school bus she saw Houses, Play Areas, Curtains, Roads etc. And then after coming back home, she answered few really tough questions. Happy W!s day. BTW, in Rural India the picture is little different though, some places totally Oolta! #eCoolTea-ECoolTea-AnyOne ? #brainFiltering and #handEyeCoOrdination with #participation, %scent-age-DNM Why only filed trips to Construction Zones, Parks, Creative Arts Centers, Theaters, Stadiums etc., students should be allowed to take field trips to places like DEBATE Centers, JURY Centers, Studios etc. Input through own eyes is the most effective and strongest. When one gets the real life experience, that lives inside for life.

Start of Meditation - A Practical Approach

So now you have read 10 books on Meditation, attained 5 seminars and in couple of occasions you have enjoyed your 5 mins quick meditation practical class followed by Happy Hour. You will not quite need to follow this blog. But for those who do not know about the concept of Happy Hour, please read on -- At your home 80% of the floor-space is occupied by Furniture, Toys, Bins, JhaDus, Water Buckets etc. And you are in dare need of doing Meditation because you are very disappointed with life about so and so reason. Well no problem, here is your first step of Night-Only-Meditation (or arguably just heading for some concentration activity): 1. Ask everyone in your family to go inside a room or tell them to go outside and a walk for 10 mins, so that now you have at least one room or one room and some ++space, like kitchen/living room/bathroom etc. 2. Make it completely dark. close all the windows, fly all the curtains, turn off all the lights. Now you are more like a comp

Holi - The Festival of Colors

Image
Down the memory lane again - playing holi in Vidyamandira. The night before the day of holi, we would plan with our Maharaj - where to go, who would sing, who would play khol, karatal, harmonium, why to play dry holi colors only, how to follow the streets without blocking traffic, (and obviously our own group planning - like how to greet people who are peeking out of the windows, how to acto like "bhaja-machh-ti-ulte-khete-parina") etc. etc. Typically, we would visit our Professors home, who lived near by - walking distance. We would exchange abir, play some songs and in return get some sweets/namkeens. In the evening Sanskritik Anusthan, once /Ramkumar-babu/ came. His story telling along with Bhakti-giti... aha, it was like the spoon of hot chocolate over the vanilla scoop :-). And Monks would play holi inside the Math campus, Go-ing round and round and round (Go-Becharas) ;-,) I'm not exactly sure why Lord Krishna started holi festival. But I think
