Those days we used to call Thriving-Bengal Days, or more accurately at the tangential top of the inverted-smiley-face curve, if I may call, just before started everything declining. Planned-City-Chittaranjan to Barakar to Asansol, Planned-City-Burnpur to Ranigang to Planned-City-Durgapur - everywhere thriving. Our village is situated about 7kms from Chittaranjan and on /Viswakarma/ puja day we will visit Chittaranjan Locomotive Factory or Hindusthan Cables Factory, because on that day factories used to open for public. Each of the department would perform their own Puja (Kudo's to those dedicated Surveyors, they knew simple ways to compete, and to inspire) and distribute Prasad to all the visitors. And our enjoyment was to see those biiiig machines, huge belts, super-size fans, mystic Sirens - "Ei dyekh dyekh ei tau baaje-rea, Baba rea oto dhur thyei-ke shyun-te pai". While walking back we would steal some "Roma Suti" from the fields and enjoy the hap

What better day to celebrate Adi Shankaracharya, other than Shiva Ratri day. His life example and teachings will flow like Falgu-dhara for ever and ever. He has accepted everyone with open arm and showed us how to win in every stages of our life. It's extremely hard for someone to follow his philosophy though, its tough. How can you float away from everything - Well, you may get a better explation from my friend Sriram Macha ! ;-). Anyways enjoy this video, you have to give a little yield at two incidents i) MagarMachh one and ii) Dead King one, like "Life of PI" or "Stealing Proud Signature" stories. And the philosophy (edit: removed and replaced the video, cause initially I thought of putting this one only, who knows who actually translated, does it really matter ?!?) #dustuSona #foggyMist: Or even through pop music: Happy Shiva Ratri. Dimiki Dimiki Dimi... Dimiki Dimiki Dimi...

Those days, after college hours, there used to be only 1 hr free time in the evening before the evening 1/2 hr. prayer. And there were 3 idiots who would find the best ways to spend that 1 hr time. Sometime give a little hand to Styabrata Maharaj or Aravinda Maharaj's request to play volley-ball at the center court. Sometime enjoy a muDi-chat outside the College gate and then sitting next to Ganga, inside the Math and enjoy the evening cool breeze. Or sometime go to Belur Jetty and discuss many scientific theories, more like "Coffee House er Adda". And sometime going above and beyond our capacity, skipping even the evening prayer and getting own self ready for dialogues like "Yaarki peyechho! Pete haat dhukiye, odike 5 ta angul goonneee ber kore nebo". Well we knew, it was an indication like "Hotobhaga! Ghurbi ghor, kintu ektu bhebe bujhe to, tai bole evening prayer tao...". Anyways, there uses to be a mystic temple (with glass and lights in th

For those who has a solid future plan ;-) Driver Handbook - DMV - State of California And for those who also wants to LEARN some driving-safety and through Mind-filtering (assuming left as right and right as left for a change), a good-read for Sunday. [I hope CA-DMV would not send me to hospital for sharing this link ;-), because we badly need this book from you.]

When you get lot of information, direct/indirect communications, true/false/fakes, basically trying to hold onto something to be afloat, in a flowing water that contains different types/sizes/speeds of particles. How would you filter them, or avoid them / accept them? There are 2 ways it works: 1. You just keep swimming against all of them saying, I am Veera, I can handle everything (Sh..le, kisiko nehin chhorenge). 2. Simply forget everything just stay afloat and you will reach your destination where some of the PARTICLES will tickle you at various places and eventually you will get to your Moksha. So what do you do? Lets take the example of say the main twitter feed page, you are reading one by one by one and then, as you read more and more twitter's smart algorithm scans your last activities/interests and blow you with more and more such feeds and then add some sprinkle algorithms here and there (like "le le beta, jitana chahe, aour bohot hai picchhe&q

Do you read Choti-books? (I know some of you are already getting a tickling sensation all around), no no, I'm not talking about those, I'm taking about reading tiny (5-50 pages) books, often you'll find them in the extreme corners of your library and no one has even touched them for months, other than once in a year by a Safai-Karmachari. One of my close friend, well, he is not live close to me or in close contact with me now, but always IS close to me since the time we used to be roommates, another cheerful and a very happy-mind person. [Hint: His hand writing used to be so crisp, that you can compare with early drop of dew in the morning, on the TIP of the grass]. Instead of reading the big volume of HISTORY books, he used to read those choti-books (containing a freedom fighters letter, a small important incident that made history somewhere, a rare picture, a journey though, a piece of history that has repeated or just simply a conversation snippet between 2 worl

Jugaad: Fulfilling a dream which seems un-achievable YugaDO: Who can do JudaaD timelessly and tirelessly Meditation: Fruit of YugaaD with #limitLess happiness, because when one does the JugaaD, s/he is constantly focused on one activity without any interference from outsiders (no head and torso), a v-gra for brain. JugaaD can be explained in many other ways - it could be reading a book, composing a song, cooking something of new taste, drawing a picture, cleaning up a pond, doing gardening, tuning-up bicycle, knitting a sweeter for loved one, or even just relaxing under a tree thinking about some really extra-ordinary product that can help people "being happy". Aren't these also a king of meditation? Well at least for the kids, these could be the start of meditation? If you disagree then, well I don't have much to say, but if you even little bit agree, then why don't we take an initiative to involve our kids into such fun loving play activities
