Why they say, "The College Life is the Best Life"?   Well, I think... 1. Almost no real (I mean "real") responsibilities. ## 2. Almost no one breathing behind your neck. 3. You are encouraged to create fights within yourself for any and many reason, professionally we term that as "self-empowerment". 4. Life's KARMA cycle is in extremely busy state, and you think little differently all the time ;-). 5. You always make fun of teachers and they know about that very well cause they did the same thing in their days. (Someone whispered, "Abe tu teacher-student-prem-katha bata dega kya, chup sh..le"). [ ## For some though... who are from humble backs, it's always about future responsibilities, fear of failures, worryness of ifs and thens.] Oh! enough is enough, no more Faltoo Fundas. Coming back to originally what I wanted to write.  One of my senior, name SD (Cryptography-fied) who was exceptionally brilliant, trul...

To Rangabati(s): Thanks Coke!, for giving us something really cool finally! I love each and every compositions from this series, and guess what, these are the best ones I use when I'm on the treadmill. From the bottom of my heart -  /Spici Pop/  (without quinine - Ref:  /Felice Bisleri Wiki/ ). When it reaches - "TAALA", "TAMALDA", su-so-vi-ta "TIRAW", I push the speed button to 9+ and add 5 more minutes to the installed timer. ---->>>> When Pain transforms into Pleasure : Ram Prasad's and Dashrath Prasad's U-turn One of the most super-class movie in Hindi Cinema we know is the movie "Golmaal",  not the latest 4K smart ones, but the oldest SD one (Ref:  /Golmaal-Wiki/  ). Out of many, this particular scene is my most favorite, the class of Utpal Dutt ;-). Now for a twist... lets say, just 100 of you who can instantly open up your wallet app with the instant command (whispering voice only ...

This was early morning January, 21st, 2017... we were at Yeswanthpur Railway Station to see off our relatives. Yesvantpur-Kamakhya-A/C-Express-12551,  Platform no 1. Departure time 8:30am. Actually departed if I can remember ~8:40am. A platform cleaning lady worker was cleaning the platform a while ago. My wife was little emotional as we all do, seeing off relatives and I was busy answering my daughter's "immediate and most urgent" questions about some how long the train is, how much distance it will go etc. The train started moving slowly, many were coming out of the train to catch-the-platform, before train leaves the platform, well, you know.... last few minutes of important talks, like "ticket ta thik kore rakhbe", "ar shonoow, platform er jol kheyo naa, bottled water kine niyo", "porer bar aar ei train tai ticket katbo na, shudhu shudhu deri kore" etc etc. The train was moving, slowly and little faster and faster,...

The Stunt ManS (and WomanS)!

When I ask my 7 years old daughter to tell story, for every story she would start with "Once upon a time...", whether the plot from today, tomorrow, yesterday or millions of years back. Let me copy that and start... Once upon a time in a small village in India there lived a boy name Picklu. He was very studious, no no, let me put it like this - he was very very studious, I mean he wanted to be at least. At 5th grade during Half Yearly exam, he scored 18/100 in Patigonit (Mathematics). On that fine evening, he presented his PROGRESS-REPORT, to his father. He got stunt! His father took a deep breath and told Picklu, "Jaa khele aai" (Go, enjoy the day). On that very moment Picklu was actually wearing an extra layer of clothing as {{{protective measurement}}}. Instead of enjoying the day, he got little heavy..., There were 1000s of "why's" were punching him from every direction and everywhere possible. 2 more days gone, and his father handed ...

It's early days village memory - there was a charming, always ready, a very happy and helpful person Amulya-da. I had never seen him complaining anything about and he had no problem in life at all. It was sometime after the rainy season... and the crop fields were full of water, aals (dividers) were muddy. One day few of us friends going for bath to nearby pond, and suddenly saw Amulya-da lying at a corner of the filed, soaked partially in water. And a little far off, there was a completely smashed big pumpkin. We went to him and asked, "Amulya-da ki hoi-n-chhe? Erom jok-kadai lutai-n an-chho jya?"(Amulya-da, what happened? why are you soaked and lying on mud?). He smiled and replied, "Dingla-tau chhat-ra-futa hoi-n gya-law" (My only pumpkin got smashed). Then we looked arround at that place and found that the pumpkin actually was fell on a bolder rock, and hence... Poor Amulya-da was carrying the pumpkin on his head for 2km from near by haat (farmers market)...

Tax - Tax - Tax : 234A, 234B & 234C

Image
After 14 years, this year I had filed India Tax. Unfortunately I was not aware of Tax Penalties in India, well, basically because of several unforeseen reason, my salary and investments were not linked and also I missed "the date". While I talked to some of my friends/neighbors/family members, it came out that they were also least aware of these 3 tax codes 234A, 234B and 234C. Did not find any News Article either. It was socking for me that, too many well educated and hi-tech earners do not know about these, forget about those day-in-day-outs.  Guess what I paid a hefty penalty of ~Rs 55,000. Obviously when I first got the estimated sheet, it reminded me: While filing tax in the US or here in India, I always trusted the professional people as they know little bit better than me, all the time. My tax consultant here shared me this link, and I thought it's worth writing a blog about. >> (Click me) 234A, 234B and 234C Explained ...
